Brentwood Elementary School Door Locking Procedure

2024-2025 

All doors are to remain locked during the school day. Each set of doors is keyed should staff need to open the door from the school's exterior. 

Staff will open (not unlock) the doors at the beginning of the school day (first bell) and supervise students entering the school. Staff will ensure the doors are closed before leaving the area.  

Staff will open the doors at the end of recesses (10:21 and 12:57) and supervise them entering the school. Staff will ensure the doors are closed before leaving the area. 

Parents, visitors, and students arriving outside of the normal entry times need to use the front door where the doorbell system can be utilized to gain entry if needed.
